Universal and operator-branded loyalty tokens for mobility
Ride Rewards is the incentive layer of the Ride Ecosystem, helping transportation operators drive ridership, retention, and revenue through rewards and promotional programs.
The ecosystem supports two distinct reward tokens to balance interoperability and operator control:
Universal Ride Token (URT)
Network-wide rewards accepted across all participating transportation operators, enabling shared incentives across the Ride network.
Branded Ride Token (BRT)
Operator-specific rewards issued and redeemed exclusively by the issuing operator, allowing full control over loyalty and promotions.

Universal Ride Tokens (URT)
URT is a universal, blockchain-based rewards token accepted across all participating transportation operators. Each URT carries a fixed value of $0.001 and is fully collateralized by Ride USD, ensuring transparency, stability, and trust.
URT functions as network-wide mobility value, not operator-specific points.
New Demand and New Revenue Streams
Because URT has a fixed value and is fully backed, it can be pre-funded and distributed by third parties — not just earned through rides. That means operators receive new riders and incremental revenue from outside their traditional channels.
Branded Ride Tokens (BRT)
BRT is an operator-specific, blockchain-based rewards token issued by an individual transportation provider. It allows operators to reward riders with loyalty points and promotional credits that are redeemable only within the issuing operator’s services — such as fares, upgrades, passes, or other operator-defined benefits.
Each operator sets its own BRT value and redemption rules, giving full control over pricing, promotions, and loyalty programs. BRT is not collateralized by Ride USD and is not intended to function as universal rewards. Instead, it operates as a flexible, operator-controlled incentive that can be earned, granted, or redeemed exclusively within that operator’s system.
BRT gives operators a modern loyalty tool without forcing them into a one-size-fits-all rewards model. Operators maintain brand control, customer relationships, and promotional flexibility, while still participating in the broader Ride network.
BRT complements universal rewards by strengthening operator-specific loyalty without adding payment processing costs or operational complexity.
